The Aliquippa Bucktails is the oldest sportsmen club in Beaver County, PA. It was established in 1935. Meetings were originally held at various locations in downtown Aliquippa. An old schoolhouse was donated and in the early 1940’s it was disassembled and relocated to its present site in Hopewell Township on 35 wooded acres. It is located at 2564 Brodhead Road on what is known as "Bucktail hill". On the grounds are a 300
yard rifle range, 2 trap fields, a skeet field, a 25 yard indoor pistol
range , an
archery range, a clubhouse and a trap and skeet building. Hunter education classes, youth shoots, lucky
target shoots, trap and skeet, and an annual Game Dinner are some of the
annual activities.
The Rifle range is replete with a new and improved shooting bench housed in a new and larger pavilion. Membership is open and is $35 per year with a $35 initiation fee the first year. A junior membership is available for ages 12-17 for $10 (with no initiation fee). A senior membership is available for age 62 and older for $10 plus a $35 initiation fee the first year. The membership year is July 1 through June 30. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm. The Club is available to be rented for Wedding Receptions, Graduation Parties and other gatherings.
